I stumbled across your blog from a chowhound post—the one linking to your culinary tour of South River. Anyway, just wanted to say kudos -- and thanks for the tips. That Brazil Country place is on our list of places to try soon. And Krakowiak is one of my faves. My husband dies over the velvety cabbage. It kills me that people will wait in line for an hour at Houlihan's when they could be eating a much more delicious meal at some place like Krakowiak's. Anyway, your posts chronicling different dishes and concoctions are inspiring. My husband and I live in South River and love finding local restaurant picks and experimenting with dishes at home - though we aren't quite at your homemade-pasta-and-sausage level yet!

It's cool to see that you're a Bravo market fan too. (Though I do wish there were one great market nearby where you could get everything in one place. I heard a rumor that Whole Foods is considering opening a store in Old Bridge. Don't know if it's true.) My husband discovered that Bravo is a great source for fresh herbs. Much cheaper and better selection than Shoprite, A&P, etc. Of course, soon my garden will be producing herbs so I can save a few bucks.

Anyway, sorry for the long post. It's just cool to see there are some fellow food-obsessives in the 08882!
