Magnificent Seven - Classic Steve McQueen (with a side of Bronson). A real "mans" movie. One against many, being a man, type theme. Great scene in the beginning with McQueen riding "shotgun" in the hearse...and a great quote. "Don't you ever say that again about your fathers, because they are not cowards. You think I am brave because I carry a gun; well, your fathers are much braver because they carry responsibility, for you, your brothers, your sisters, and your mothers. And this responsibility is like a big rock that weighs a ton. It bends and it twists them until finally it buries them under the ground. And there's nobody says they have to do this. They do it because they love you, and because they want to. I have never had this kind of courage. Running a farm, working like a mule every day with no guarantee anything will ever come of it. This is bravery. That's why I never even started anything like that... that's why I never will. "

Blue Velvet
- Dennis Hopper is a maniac meets an almost "Last House on the Left"-ish feel meets David Lynch. Intrigued by Eraserhead, I had to set my TiVo to record any David Lynch flick....and well Dennis Hopper as a maniac and weird sexual crap is an added bonus

Big Fish - Beginning was "eh", in the middle it got good, and the end was real good...I like Ewan McGregor, and I like "Big Foot". Tim Burton is a top 10 director/writer for me so I figured I'd like it. I wouldn't say it was a 5 star netflix. Maybe a 3.5. I kind of liked the story of the town in the middle of nowhere. I hated the "Big Fish" in the river....the way it was shot/looked.

TV:
Dexter - I'm trying to prevent myself from buying the books this series is based on and ruining it because I really like the actors/characters. Dark show that ties up loose ends frequently so you don't feel like you have to invest a lot of time into it.

Earl and Office - "Eh" Just brainless entertainment. Funny to watch while doing other things.

What's up next? Some classic Halloween theme movies. "The Witches" for Laurie, and Night of the Living Dead.
