Thai Stir-fry
Got a cut of sirloin on sale at shop-rite, cubed, lots of paprika, some of this "spicy" oil that I picked up, some soy and pepper....let it sit while I threw some Jasmine rice into my new pot.
stir fried the beef up with some red and green peppers, chilies, shitake mushrooms, garlic, and shallot, with more soy, and a little fish sauce and I threw some basil in at the end.
The pot worked great for rice....first time I cooked rice where it was this great....perfect stickyness and taste.

Happened to "stumble" upon a Le Creuset factory outlet and they had a "red" sale....
Now...to learn how to use them...wish I had them a few days ago come turkey chili time....

Baked macaroni, feta cheese with bacon, panko breaded tenders, homemade BBQ sauce and left over baby tomatoes stuffed with fresh moz with basil and olive oil....
P.S. My new 5qt. Calphalon Skillet is amazing.
P.P.S.....killer turkey chili on the stove right now......

OK 2 updates in 1.....
Valentines day I made 2 desserts for my valentine to choose from....(she had a little of both!)
homemade Strawberry shortcake, with some kickbutt whipped cream I "whipped" up. (nothing special, I just like homemade cream)
and chocolate lava cake (couldnt believe how easy it was!) with vanilla ice cream and chocolate covered strawberry
last night i had my parents over for dinner, partly moms birthday and my father is laying his mother to rest today so I didn't want them cooking.
I made a caprese salad again
appitizer of pesto shrimp

main course of veal with a marsala cream sauce with white truffle oil and capers over linguini and a side of roasted garlic parm asparagus.
and for dessert.....
"Bill Gates Peanut Butter Chocolate Mud" (because its too damn rich!)
